September is here and the kids finally went back to school today, so normality can resume! We hope you’ve had a great summer. We’ve been busier than ever, with lots of new clients coming in throughout. It seems like the summer didn’t quieten down as we’re used to here, so I hope you’re being able to maximise the opportunities and things are looking up after lockdown.

CITE Estepona Spanish Networking Event

Our first networking event after the summer is taking place at the lovely La Buena Vida bar in Estepona on Thursday 16th of September. We’re organising this for the Spanish networking group CITE Estepona and it is a great opportunity for any of you Spanish speakers to explore the business opportunities available in the Spanish community. I’ve found this a really good group, very friendly and open to collaborations, so I’d definitely recommend it if you speak Spanish. It costs 6€ per person and that includes two beers or soft drinks, or one spirit with mixer and it’s a lovely venue on the paseo. We hope to see some of you there, please confirm as soon as possible. Networking To Raise Money For Guide Dogs

To raise funds for the amazing work that the ONCE Foundation for Guide Dogs is doing, Shaw Marketing Services and Specsavers Ópticas Marbella are coming together to organise a charity networking event on Wednesday 22nd of September. A 5€ donation to the charity will be required to attend the event and drinks can be bought at the bar throughout. This event will take place at the Rose & Thistle in Duquesa and welcomes English speaking and Spanish speaking business owners and employees who want to market their business and make new contacts. This charity networking event is part of Specsavers Ópticas’ campaign to raise 5,000€ for this guide dog association during 2021 and we hope you’ll come along and support it.

Switch From Single-Use Plastic BagsThis Month

During the month of September, Specsavers in Fuengirola are inviting you to bring five used plastic bags into the store to exchange them for a high-quality fabric shopping bag. The plastic bags will then be recycled to ensure they do not go into landfill. As part of its commitment to the environment, the Specsavers Ópticas team will also be taking part in the Mi Moana beach clean-up for International Coastal Cleanup Day on 18th September and the Shaw Marketing team will be there too. The first 50 volunteers to help with the clean-up, and bring five plastic bags, will be given a fabric bag to take away. We hope to see some of you there.
