It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas and the Shaw Marketing Services team are taking a much needed break, after our busiest year yet. Our office closing times are from 17th of December to the 3rd of January inclusive, with very limited access to emails as this year we’ll be celebrating Christmas in Thailand, as our belated honeymoon, and we can’t wait! Fuengirola Beach Clean Tomorrow there is a fantastic Beach Clean Up event organized by Plastic Free Seas Worldwide and sponsored by Specsavers Opticas in Fuengirola. Everyone is invited to participate and make a difference. Volunteers will meet at Restaurant Alarcon in Fuengirola on the 15th of December at 2.30pm. Bags are supplied to collect the rubbish, but if possible, volunteers are asked to bring some gloves with them, to reduce the plastic use of the event. Their aim is to collect 400kgs of rubbish in just a few hours, so they need your help! Find Out More

The Posidonia Palace Show We had the chance to attend the opening of the Posidonia Palace Music and Dance Show on the 8th of December, and would highly recommend it. It features an incredible singer, jaw dropping aerial performances and great dance routines. The final live show is on the 22nd of December. Tickets cost 79€ per person to include the welcome drink, a delicious two-course menu and two hours of entertainment. Don’t miss out on the chance to enjoy this original and exciting show. This will be followed by a New Year’s Eve spectacular, including a shorter show, a delicious four course meal, a great party atmosphere and of course the traditional grapes and champagne at midnight. Christmas Food Collection for Bancosol Specsavers Opticas in Fuengirola is also collaborating with the Costa del Sol’s Food Bank, Bancosol, for the charity’s food collection campaign until January 7th. They are asking local residents to help the most disadvantaged people in their community by making a small food donation over the festive period. Bancosol are particularly in need of oil, milk and meals in a can such as soups and stews, although any donation is of course welcome. Throughout December and the Christmas period, anyone can drop off their food at Specsavers Opticas Fuengirola during opening hours.
