Steve Hall – what an example to us all!
My friend Steve Hall is amazing! He was inspired by Bjorn Heidenstrom’s epic journey to cycle and hitch-hike from Norway to South Africa in to raise funds and awareness of the plight of refugees. But rather than just give a donation he took a month to help with PR and act as a support driver for the Spanish leg. Bjorn was collecting football shirts to make the biggest football shirt in the world to fly at the world cup in South Africa in support of the National Refugee Council and the millions of refugees around the world.
We all thought Steve was pretty amazing being the support driver, but then he went and shocked us all by announcing he’d go and take to two wheels himself and cycle to all the 92 football league grounds in England and Wales. Now Steve isn’t a cyclist or a fitness junkie, but still decided to embark on this huge journey taking 3 months and almost 3,000 miles!
Steve has now been to over 50 clubs and despite a nasty accident he is determined to finish this amazing journey. He’s looking for places to stay, sponsorship of 20 UK pounds a day to allow him to finish the trip and publicity for his journey and the cause.
Well done Steve, I think what you’re doing is amazing!
