One more week to get your entries in for the kids’ summer photography competition
Specsavers Ópticas have extended the deadline to give more youngsters a chance to capture the best sights of the school summer holidays as part of their Summer Photography Competition
Specsavers Ópticas want to give budding photographers, aged 6-17, the best possible chance to enter their Summer Photography Competition and so have extended the deadline to Sunday the 8th of September.
One of the three judges for the competition, Dispensing Optician Gracie Glister from Specsavers Ópticas in Javea explains, “We know the summer holidays are really busy and have been asked by several parents and kids to give them a little more time to sort through their summer photos and choose the best to enter. The first week of September is a great time to reflect and get organized before the new school year begins, so we’ve decided to extend the competition by one more week, to give more people the chance to enter.
We encourage keen photographers to be creative and think about what summer means to them and choose the image that best represents that. It could be anything from the beach, the pool, the waterpark, family time, summer evenings – you choose. Just make sure you explain why that image means summer to you.

The competition is open to youngsters aged between 6 and 17 years old and the brief is to take an image which really encapsulates the fun of the holidays and explain why. Only one photography may be entered, so the team felt a bit more time was required to sort through and select the very best.
The best photo in the Junior and Senior categories will win a €50 Amazon voucher and a pair of sunglasses and have their image showcased on social media and in the press.
The competition is open until 23.59 on Sunday 8th of September to residents of the provinces of Alicante and Malaga and the island of Mallorca, aged between 6 and 17.
