Marbella Summit Unites Nationalities and Gives Residents a Voice
Nicole King and TV programme Marbella Now are holding a free summit on Tuesday 5th of April at Laude International College San Pedro. The aim of the day is to unite all the nationalities living here and giving residents a voice to identify issues in Marbella and search for solutions together. Everyone is welcome to share their ideas and experiences.
From 10 until 2, there will be four sessions covering the important issues of –
- Sustainable Marbella – Building a strong, profitable local economy which doesn’t damage the environment
- Marbella as a Year Round Destination – How we as residents can improve travel, take full advantage of the art and culture and activities on offer and improve Marbella off season
- Improving integration with the Spanish community – How can we as expat residents become Marbella citizens in a true sense and work and live alongside the Spanish
- Charitable Marbella – How can we help the underprivileged people in our society and get charities collaborating for the best results
Each session will be led by an expert in the field and participants will workshop to identify key issues and then make proposals to solve the most important issues. This will be an interesting, engaging day which will appeal to any community spirited individual who loves Marbella and wants to be a key player in making it an even better place to live, work and holiday. Registration is free for the event, and there is a 10€ cost for refreshments and lunch.
This forum is followed by a free presentation and workshop with Michael Tellinger from 3.30 to 7.30pm. Michael is an author and modern day Indian Jones whose discoveries in South Africa are re-writing our history books with new discoveries about our hidden origins. He promotes the philosophy of #UBUNTU – a community of contributionism which does not depend on money. During this fascinating talk, he will share his findings and his philosophy and leave you with many things to think about.
Registrations can be made for the morning or afternoon sessions, with or without lunch via the website Marbella Azul www.marbellaazul.com/Marbella-Now-Tv/Registration and more information can be found on Facebook
