Live music in Marbella this summer
Marbella is great in the summer time with shows and events building to a peak. This year there’s loads of great things going on with a packed programme of concerts, here’s a run down.
The legend that is Seal coming to town on July 23rd to start his Spanish tour at the Marbella Bullring. I’m really looking forward to that one and at 32.50€ a ticket I think it’s pretty good value.
The Marbella Jazz Festival is also taking place this month with a 9 concerts being held at the Marbella Football Stadium from 20-27 July. I am a big Blues Brothers fan and wanted to go and see the tribute concert on 26th. But I have been put off by the price which at 50.50€ for the cheapest seats seems a bit excessive!
On July 31st Faithless are playing Puerto Banus Bullring to raise money for the charity LIVE which helps a Malaga Children’s Home. This will be the first time that Faithless have played in Southern Spain and they’re supported by some great British DJs too. Tickets from 50.50€, with an after party to be held at Dreamers.
On Agust 6th Kool & the Gang will be playing at the Puento Romano Tennis Club so you can sing along with their hits including “Celebration”, “Ladies Night” & “Get Down on It”. Tickets from 30.30€.
After that, get on your flares and glitter and get ready to boogie with Bjorn Again the ABBA Tribute band, which will be at the Marbella Bullring on 18th August. Tickets from 27.70€ if you don’t mind standing, or 37.70€ for a seat.
Tickets for all these events can be bought at Ticketmaster.es.

Has anybody been there? How was it? I wanted to go but missed the concert.

Hi Mirco, we went to Seal and it was fantastic. The venue of the bullring is a great one, with standing room at the front with a bar and almost a festival atmosphere. Then there’s loads concrete levels which act as seats all around the ring. It’s an odd arrangement with those behind you with their feet behind where you’re sitting and it’s not the most comfortable, we saw the regulars bringing cushions which was a very good idea. Despite the slightly odd seating, the atmosphere was great and everyone had a great view of the stage – highly recommended.
We’re off to help out at the Faithless concert as well which looks like it will be an amazing event from 6pm-3am!
