IVA Increase on Optical Products
Following the IVA increase announcement, Specsavers Opticas are concerned that the implications for the optical market are being misunderstood.
Business development Manager Jose Angel Moral Tajadura has released the following statement, to clarify the situation.
“IVA on prescription products (glasses & contact lenses) will increase on the 1st September from 8% to 10%. There has been confusion amongst customers as some media have stated it will be increased to 21% which is not the case. Specsavers Opticas believes in continually providing value for money for our customers, and in this time of austerity we will not pass on any IVA increase to our customers.”
