Fire on the Costa del Sol
Terrible to see the fire spreading so quickly and many people needing to be evacuated from their homes. We woke up to our terraces covered in ash and a strong smell of smoke, but so far so good.
It seems to be heading this way but there are some reports of rain on the effected areas so fingers crossed. Last we heard it had spread to the area at the back of La Cañada and we can now hear and see planes overhead getting water, but it’s always difficult to predict what will happen in these cases.

You may have seen on the news about the fire here on the Costa del Sol. We believe it started around Mijas and has spread west, affecting the back of Calahonda, La Mareina and many other places.
Your HomeCareontheWeb team are busy trying to assist any holiday guests that have been evacuated and are checking on properties that may have been affected.
We will contact any owner direct if we discover that your property has been affected by the fire… no news is good news.
