Festival Arte Sano San Pedro this weekend
Phil from La Chispa sent me news of this great looking festival over the weekend on San Pedro’s lovely Paseo Maritimo. It calls itself a “Healing Arts Festival on the Beach” which sounds intriguing and has lots going on from 11 in the morning until midnight Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July.
It’s really good to see something a bit different with a positive message, and there’s loads to do which is all free! There’s a market area with lots of stalls selling artisan products, a programme of workshops and educational activities, stalls selling healthy food, a kids’ area and a program of concerts featuring music from all around the world. You can take a yoga class or try Chi Kung and find out about local environmental projects like the wonderful Arboretum.
Apparently its the 6th edition of this festival and had over 6,000 visitors last year so it’s obviously a popular local event, but it’s the first time it’s been on my radar. The kids’ show at 12.00 on Saturday looks like fun and a perfect time for a stroll, a spot of music and a bite to eat, but there’s also another show at 18.00 and lots of dance shows in the evening, so it’s hard to choose!
