Easter Eggs Found at Arboretum Marbella

Easter Eggs Found at Arboretum Marbella

Over 50 kids and 40 adults flocked to Marbella conservation park Arboretum on Wednesday 4th April on the hunt for chocolate eggs.

As well as having fun, this Easter Egg Hunt taught the kids about the different native species of trees and showed them the importance of nature for our future.

To start the event there was a tour around Arboretum containing the information the kids needed to answer the ten clues which led them to the treasure – a box full of chocolate eggs! Children of all ages enjoyed running around in the beautiful surroundings to find the clues and of course the chocolate at the end.

After the hunt the kids that wanted to get messy took part in the Japanese reforestation technique Nendo Dango. This highly effective and sustainable system involves making “seed balls” of clay and organic matter with seeds inside to protect and nourish the seeds. As it is such an effective method, they do not need to be planted, simply thrown onto the ground and left to grow.

This is just one of the activities which this charity is organising to educate people about environmental issues, inspire them and to equip them with tools to lead a more sustainable life. To find out more about Arboretum Marbella and upcoming activities for kids and adults visit their website
