The ski season begins in Sierra Nevada

I am very excited as the ski season has finally started up in the Sierra Nevada! I always feel better about it pouring with rain here if I know that it’s snowing up there!

If you want to see for yourself what’s going on up there, you can take a look at the Sierra Nevada webcam – it looks like there’s even some snow down to the village which is brilliant so early in the season. According to the website there’s 9 lifts open, 22 pistes open and over 17km of slopes which are good to ski on. It’s a sweet little resort which I’d recommend for beginners and intermediates. There are some good runs for the more advanced skiers too, but these are limited.
