Speed Networking Costa del Sol

As you know, I’m a great believer in networking and I try to go to a wide selection of meetings to see which ones work for me. I am a member of Women in Business and 4B Networking and also regularly attend Tweet Marbella. I really enjoy all of these meetings and have benefited a lot from them, but if you’re not in the mood, it’s easy to simply speak to people you know and not take full advantage of the networking opportunities. Also, as I have become busier, I find it harder to fit in long and sociable networking lunches.

For these reasons, I was really keen to go to the inaugeration of the Costa Business Club at the end of September and try out their Speed Networking format. For those of you who don’t know, speed networking gives you the opportunity to meet loads of different people by restricting the time each person speaks to 3 minutes and moving people around when their time is up.

The Curry Link Networking Group

I've been told that the First meeting of the Curry Link Networking Group is taking place tomorrow (the 21st) at Saffron in Elviria, sorry for the short notice! It sounds like quite a nice idea, with a monthly curry for 20€ per head (including IVA)...

Networkingtastic!

I have been a bit remiss of late and have been missing some networking functions because I’ve just been too busy, so to make up for it (and to start distributing my new leaflets) I have booked myself in for a load of new networking over the coming weeks. Here’s a run down of all those I’m going to with their websites. Please comment on this post if you know of any more.

Upcoming charity events

There are three events being held in September to raise money for great causes that I wanted to share with you. The first is being held this Sunday at the El Paraiso Country Club in aid of Manacare, the charity which is creating a community in...

Marbella Summer Film Festival August 23-29

There is a week of free screenings taking place in Plaza Antonio Banderas in Puerto Banus from 23-29 August as an extension of the Marbella Film Festival which takes place in the Autumn.

Each evening starting at 9:30 pm, the festival offers some of the outstanding works from the past festivals, free of charge! The award winning films  scheduled for screening this August are from Spain, UK. U.S.A, Russia, Germany, Italy, Iran, Afghanistan, Argentina, Denmark, Ireland and India. There are short films, animation, documentaries and feature films in the original version with English or Spanish subtitles.

Detailed programs of the titles, subjects and times can be found in the Marbella Tourist Offices in Marbella and Puerto Banus, the Marbella Casino, Hotel H10 Andalucia Plaza and at the stands of Antonio Banderas plaza in Puerto Banus or online at www.marbellafilmfestival.com.

I’d really suggest you take advantage of this if you like culture. We went along to last year’s film festival and there was a great programme of films and entertainment, totally free, but hardly anyone was there! I think this is crazy when it’s such a great event, so this is your second chance to see some of the best bits. I hope you’ll be able to make it.
