Costa del Sol Events June

Summer is here and there’s loads going on. This week we’re really excited because the Marbella Feria has started with a week of Spanish partying to enjoy. Here some more information about the Feria plus a few great events to put in the diary!

A busy week of networking ahead!

I am a firm believer in the power of networking and would always recommend that networking is one of your key marketing tools.

This week there are 4 networking meetings that I’ve heard of and I’ll be going along to most of them. If you want to start marketing your business effectively, why don’t you come along too? It can be a little scary sometimes, but it’s a great way to build awareness of your business, build trust and make professional and personal contacts.

Marbella Tweet-up: From online to face to face networking

I think Twitter is a great way to share news, promote events and keep up to date with your specialist area for business development. However, one major drawback of networking online through Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and others, is that your community can be spread around the globe and let’s face it without meeting someone in person it is difficult to build trust in them to the point that you’d engage in business with them! To overcome this, the Twitter community organises what they call Tweet-ups so that those on Twitter in the same area can get together and cement their online relationships.

Multi-cultural Fair in aid of Cudeca 30/05/10

Cudeca Multi-cultural FairThis Sunday there’s a fair being held in the Parque Alameda just opposite the Old Town in Marbella which celebrates the multi-cultural nature of this great area, whilst raising much-needed funds for Cudeca.

There will be food from all around the world, dance performances, a tombola with some excellent prizes and lots of stalls to browse around. It’s on from 10 in the morning to 9 at night and should be a good event. We’ll be heading along for sure.

LIVE Family Fun Day a great success!

Last Saturday Shaw Marketing Services volunteered to help out at the LIVE Family Fun day in Calahonda. The event was a great success with an excellent turn-out.

There was a bouncy castle, a human gyroscope for the adrenaline junkies, stalls selling clothes, jewellery, beauty products and much more, and games and fun activities for the kids. The adults enjoyed the food and drink supplied by the New Black Cat Pub in Calahonda as well as the live music.

Quiz Night San Pedro this Thursday

The lovely Hannah Murray from Talk Radio Europe will be hosting a Quiz at the Da Vinci Bar (next door to Da Bruno’s Restaurant) in San Pedro this Thursday from 8pm. It will be taking place every other Thursday in the same location.

A guide to creating great blog content

If you are just starting out with your own blog and lacking inspiration, there’s a great article about creating blog content from the website Social Small Biz. This is one of my favourite websites, for ideas and practical advice on using social media, so you should definitely check it out. Once again they’ve produced a really useful article here which I will use to keep this blog interesting and helpful and keep those posts flowing!
