A countryside getaway in Montejaque

Last weekend, Andy and I got away from it all in the pretty white village of Montejaque, near to Ronda. We were invited to stay at Carrie’s Casa, a cosy and quirky cottage in the village and we gratefully accepted!

Unfortunately for us the weather turned and it poured with rain for the whole of Saturday, but we were able to cosy up in front of the log fire, read books and watch films whilst the rain lashed down outside and it was actually a good excuse to do nothing and relax. Carrie left us a great selection of food and drink including a nice bottle of wine, so we were able to pull up the drawbridge and not venture out into the rain.

Steps to take to decrease your risk of developing cancer

Guest Blog from Anita Chaperon, FitHappyHealthy.com

But rather than talk about the terrible effects of breast cancer, and how many lives it destroys (you can read up on this here), I want to focus on some simple steps you can take to decrease your chances of getting it. (Of course there are no guarantees – it depends on quite a few genetic and lifestyle factors but every little helps)

Steve Hall completes his amazing journey and plans the next trip

A huge congratulations to Steve Hall for completing his marathon trip to visit all 92 league grounds in England and Wales, which took 127 days in the saddle. He finished at the famous Upton Park home of West Ham United and was greeted by lots of press to promote his message to not forget the refugees of this world.

Despite all the trials and tribulations of his trip, including a serious accident, Steve has really fallen for “the sport, hobby, method of transport, insanity or however you consider cycling” and he’s now planning for the next series of adventures.

Client Case Study – Trackdays Spain

Trackdays Spain was Shaw Marketing Services’ first client and a great one to get our teeth into. Although they had a very small budget and couldn’t advertise, public relations alone was enough to generate over 20,000€ worth of coverage!

Networkingtastic!

I have been a bit remiss of late and have been missing some networking functions because I’ve just been too busy, so to make up for it (and to start distributing my new leaflets) I have booked myself in for a load of new networking over the coming weeks. Here’s a run down of all those I’m going to with their websites. Please comment on this post if you know of any more.
