Theatre on the Costa del Sol
If you’re looking for something to keep the kids entertained or simply want to enjoy some culture, there’s a surprising amount of theatre being performed around the Costa del Sol!
In Marbella, the Black Box Theatre is a great little venue which showcases interesting performances in drama, dance and music both in its cafe and the theatre itself. They run courses for children and adults as well and there’s always something going on.
This Saturday they are putting on their first production in English and as part of the ticket price they put on activities for kids before the show which sounds great fun. The production is called A Thousand Cranes and tells the true story of a 12 year old victim of the Hiroshima bomb who starts to suffer from radiation sickness and in order to make herself better tries to fold a thousand paper cranes. It sounds like a moving but inspiring tale and is recommended for children over 7 years old. This show will be performed on 15th, 22nd and 29th January at 5.30pm and tickets are 8€.
