Christmas activities on the Costa del Sol
Our Facebook and mailbox is filling up with Christmas events and it’s all starting earlier than ever, with a few fairs which have already been and gone. Here are some highlights to look forward to over the next month.
24/11 – Lights are being switched on in Marbella & San Pedro
25/11 – Lights are being switched on in Estepona at 7pm
25/11 – Neli g’s Winter Wonderland Charity Fair – Lisa and her team always put on a great event, and this one looks excellent with a Santa’s Grotto, Mince Pies and Mulled Wine, live music, The Great Festive Bake Off Competition, Raffles, Stalls with Xmas pressie ideas, scented soaps, jewelry, Cards, Books Gifts and so much more! It’s free, and everything raised will go to Last Chance Animal Rescue
03/12 – Mundo Manía launch party from 12 onwards (link this to a blog of the launch event) – We’re really looking forward to the launch of this family entertainment centre with soft play for babies and toddlers, 3-12 year olds and teens too. Go and check out the new place on their launch day, with lots of surprises in store and a chance to play.
03/12 – Pop down to the Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Estepona in the afternoon to visit their Christmas market, listen to carols, enjoy mulled wine and have a visit from Santa to turn on the beautiful Christmas lights. This is always a fun event and is raising money for the Estepona soup kitchen. (Link to the post about the market on our blog)
09/12 – Costa Women Christmas Lunch Neli G’s Costa Women Marbella and West of Marbella are joining forces for this Christmas lunch which is just 20€ to include a 3 course meal, glass of cava and coffee!
10/12 – Seta Magica Christmas Party this sweet café and play centre near Sotogrande is really nice for younger kids and is doing a Christmas party with face painting, party games, a visit and gifts from Santa and much more
17/12 – Christmas at Mundo Mania – Santa’s Grotto 12pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7pm, a Christmas Craft Workshop 11.30am to 1pm and a Christmas Carol competition from 6-7.30pm. Then kids can visit Santa Sunday 18th 12pm to 4pm and 5pm to 7pm, Thursday 22nd 5pm to 8pm, Friday 23rd 5pm to 8pm and Saturday 24th 12pm to 2pm.
17/12 – Swan Lake at the Marbella Theatre from 8pm, tickets 30€
18/12 – Christmas games at Mundo Mania from 11.30am to 1pm and Friday 23rd December from 5pm to 6.30pm
22/12 – Christmas Craft workshop at Mundo Mania including making cards and gingerbread decorating 5pm to 6.30pm.
23/12 – Children’s Christmas party in the Paseo de la Alameda Marbella
24/12 – Christmas Eve Gala Dinner Kempinski Hotel Bahia’s Alminar Wine & Steak House, including a welcome drink and five delicious courses with live classical music from the tenors Il Divo.
29/12 – Tarzan the Musical Marbella theatre
31/12 – New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball and Gala Dinner at the Kempinski Hotel Bahia – Upon arrival guests enjoy a champagne cocktail and canapés, followed by a six course gala dinner, paired with fine wines and champagnes selected by their sommelier. Throughout the dinner there will be live performances from Elegant Band and the acrobat troupes R.E.A Danza and Dance & Dreamers creating a very special atmosphere. The countdown to 2017 will be marked with the Spanish tradition of eating 12 lucky grapes and plenty of champagne. The party will continue into the early hours with a premium open bar, late night tapas and dessert buffet, music and dancing.
