Georgina recommends ….. Avenue Cafe, Marbella

Last weekend Andy and I went to Avenue Cafe on Ricardo Soriano to sample their new evening menu and it was delicious! They have got a new chef in for the evening creating some really high quality food from all over the world. Andy was delighted to see Steak & Guiness Pie on the menu and I had the beautiful sea bass with a coriander and lime dressing. The quality of the ingredients and the standard of cooking is impressive and the prices are very reasonable, so I’d really recommend it for an evening meal, as well as for lunch or a coffee during the day.

What I found interesting on the menu was a whole load of options for vegetarians and also for ceoliac sufferers (people who have a severe reaction to gluten) which you hardly ever see in Spain. The owner has family who suffer from the disease, so he really makes an effort to source gluten free products, including gluten free bread, and the chef will try to cater to your requirements if you have food allergies.
