Safina Usmanova and Jade Williamson win the Reality Star Talent Contest
On 25th January the Kempinski hosted the Final of the Costa del Sol International Talent Contest Reality Star 2013, where eight talented junior contestants and seven senior contestants battled it out to win the title. They each performed just one song in front of a star studded judging panel to score as many points as possible and entertain the audience.
Organized by RS productions with the support of the Studio Avalon London, Marbella Town Hall and the Russian Music Box International Television and sponsored by the Sotogrande International School and El Corte Ingles, this was a fantastic event which really showcased the talent residing on the Costa del Sol and shone a light on stars of the future.
In addition to the great competitors there were Guest Star performance by Famous Russian pop group Hello, representing Russian Music Box International TV Channel, classical tenor Hoffman from Miami , Marbella Dance School Anna Sologub, last year’s winners Zoe Louise and Salome Simone and guest singer from Georgia Tato Bichia.
There were prizes for the winner, runner up, best original song and best performance to acknowledge the different aspects of a wonderful performance and celebrate all the talent on offer.
Junior Winners
The winner of the junior category was 14 year old Safina Usmanova from Russia who captured judge’s attention as well as audience with her amazing vocal and multilingual abilities, singing in English and French!
The Runner up was Annie White also 14 years old, from Gibraltar, with an amazing voice and perfect vocal abilities, the judges said that she is a name to remember for the future!
Reality Star Prize for the Best original Song went to Veronica Malka -14 years old, from USA, and the Best Performance prize was given to Tomas de La Rosa, a Rapper and Singer who really impressed with his charisma.
They awarded a special prize for the Youngest Performer to 9 year old Bogdan Rodionov from Russia, a great young talent who professionally handled the performance and the sound check without his parents and really impressed the organizers with his maturity and confidence.
All the winners of the junior categories are currently studying at Sotogrande International School, one of Spain’s leading IB schools. The success of the students at the competition reflects their commitment to nurturing talent, promoting excellence and empowering young people to be the best they can be.
Senior Winners
Winner of the Reality Star Final 2013 in the Senior category was 18 year old Scottish singer Jade Williamson, praised by the judges as a very promising young talent, who performed a fantastic song by Adele -Skyfall at the final to win the title.
The Runner Up was the amazing Spanish singer Rayes Carillio from Marbella who impressed the audience with her high level professional performance and great voice.
Prize for the Best Performance went to the most authentic act of the night Jose Ortis from Malaga who delivered a great vocal as part of a traditional Copla song, accompanied by a beautiful Flamenco Dancer.
Reality Star Special Prize for the best original song went to 19 year old Arevik Mikhatan from Armenia, who sang her own song in Spanish whilst playing the piano and was accompanied by her sister Astghik (meaning Star in Armenian) on the cello. She was praised for her performance and delivery, as well as originality.
Winners get a recording contract and will record an album with RS Productions and Avalon Studio –London. Prize Fund included El Corte Ingles Shopping Cards, Valuable Vouchers forthe professional photographs from Fotograffiti Art studio, recording sessions with RS Production –Avalon Studio, a video with Producer and Songwriter Bryan Wells at MrFeaklips Studio and a website from Mancala Web design. The winner of the senior category also won a 1 year membership of Luks Marbella VIP club. The winners will also be invited to different events locally and internationally in the UK, Georgia, Russia and more.
